Carla Bruni reveals details in French interview

Carla Bruni acknowledged in a French TV interview (titled "Carla Bruni in complete freedom") show that her wedding with Mr Sarkozy was planned only 2 days in advance. That was the reason why she chose a dress "off the rack" from Hermes' Parisian boutique.

She also revealed she curtsied to Queen Elizabeth in the French State Visit (although wifes of the head of state don't need to): "she revealed she was nervous about meeting the Queen and was given specific instructions by diplomats on what to wear and say". Carla says: "I really wanted to curtsy to the Queen, and we had a lot of fun with my friend Marianne Faithfull, who had already met the Queen," Bruni-Sarkozy said. "She (Faithfull) is a British citizen, and she showed me 50 different kinds of curtsies, including some that involved practically throwing yourself on the floor, and it was very funny. I did not imagine that people would talk about the curtsy that much afterwards," she added.

Holiday in Brazil

Carla and Nicolas were off to Brasil for Christmas, where they attended some official activities such as the birth of two turtles from the Dermochelys Coriacea family and a favela catwalk in Rio de Janeiro at the Pavao-Pavaozinho favela, where Carla spent her birthday. Paps also caught Carla exercising in the beach with her bodyguard and reportedly, Nicolas exercised everyday in the marvellous Brazilian beaches in the company of more bodyguards. Apparently a ship from the marine was inspecting the coast to guarantee their safe stay.

They spent Christmas Eve in Itacaré with Carla's son and father at the Txai Resort hotel, where they are staying. Brasil is where Carla's biological father, Maurizio Remmert, lives with his wife and two daughters, Consuelo and Violeta, in Brazil. Consuelo started not long ago working for the Elisee.

The couple apparently returned to France on the 29th December.
