Carla participated on 18th November in a visit to Qatar, where she took part in events concerning education. Mrs Bruni was invited by Her Higness Sheikha Mozah. Mr Sakorzy joined her afterwards in the country for meetings with Qatar’s ministers after a visit to Saudi Arabia where he was on official visit. She aimed to promote the opening of branches of French Universities such as HEC school of management, the Pasteur medical research organisation and cancer research centre IRCAD in Qatar. She joins with this initiative the aims of Sheikha Mozah (wife of Qatar’s Emir) who works with effort on promoting education in Qatar. It seems that this two ladies have more things in common than just their exquisite elegance. An article by AFP confirms that the relationship between both ladies is close: “La relation entre les deux femmes est personnelle et forte” as confirmed by a source from the Elysee. Sheikha Mozah and Carla Bruni met during a State visit to France earlier on this year.
