Carla in November
We have recently found out about the so many activities Carla was involved in during this last month by her oficial webpage, so here is a recap of what the lovely Mrs Bruni has been up to, apart from attending the Armistice Day as we reported earlier.

The presidential couple visited the Paoli-Calmettes Institute in Marseille the 2nd November. President Sarkozy unveiled France's second national plan against cancer during a speech.

Concert for donation to Fondation Giorgio Cini
Carla together with her mother and sister Valeria attended a concert in Venice on Tuesday night to commemorate the donation of Alberto Bruni-Tedeschi's musical archives to the Fondation Giorgio Cini. She looked lovely in a trench coat and sunglasses.

Carla leaving Doha: it seems that she hurt herself in her right hand? (Picture Hola)
Carla participated on 18th November in a visit to Qatar, where she took part in events concerning education. Mrs Bruni was invited by Her Higness Sheikha Mozah. Mr Sakorzy joined her afterwards in the country for meetings with Qatar’s ministers after a visit to Saudi Arabia where he was on official visit. She aimed to promote the opening of branches of French Universities such as HEC school of management, the Pasteur medical research organisation and cancer research centre IRCAD in Qatar. She joins with this initiative the aims of Sheikha Mozah (wife of Qatar’s Emir) who works with effort on promoting education in Qatar. It seems that this two ladies have more things in common than just their exquisite elegance. An article by AFP confirms that the relationship between both ladies is close: “La relation entre les deux femmes est personnelle et forte” as confirmed by a source from the Elysee. Sheikha Mozah and Carla Bruni met during a State visit to France earlier on this year.
Later on in the day Carla attended along with other high-profile ladies and gentlemen (such as Mrs Irina Bokova UNESCO Director General, Mrs Ruth Dreifuss Former President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr Gerhard Schroeder Former Chancellor of

Carla says no to fur
Carla replied to star Brigitte Bardot, well-known for her animal rights work, that she does not wear fur because of a "personal choice" and said she would be glad "if people imitated her behaviour" in a reply to the actress' letter to stop bullfighting in the South of France. She also congratulated Brigitte on her passion for animal rights defense and Brigitte herself thanked the First Lady, as commented by AFP.
We applaud Carla's choice and hope her example leads the way. Hopefully Carla will get involved with the organisation in her role as spouse of the President. You can read more on the great work of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for animal rights in this link:
